Will Major Insurances Payers cover Ketamine Infusions?

Avesta Ketamine and Wellness works with Major Insurance Plans and Workers Comp

While IV ketamine infusions are not officially covered by insurance, some aspects of our treatment process, such as office visits,  integration therapy, medication management and follow-up appointments may be eligible for coverage, depending on your state and plan. Spravato can be covered; coverage varies by state and plan.

Avesta Ketamine and Wellness is currently in-network for Cigna and Virginia Medicaid for Spravato, and billing out-of-network on our patients’ behalf for United Healthcare, Kaiser, and Aetna. Your dedicated Avesta insurance expert will work with you directly to review coverage, process claims, apply for pre-authorization, and more.

What is my estimated payment with insurance?

Avesta estimates are based on your actual out-of-pocket amounts per plan. This estimate is very much dependent on your payer and benefits of your individual plan. Depending on your plan, your out-of-pocket costs could be lowered by $0 – 150 per visit.

For some plans, you may see higher out-of-pocket costs starting out, and lower out-of-pocket costs for the rest of the year. Avesta collects all copays, deductibles, and coinsurance per date of service. Our goal is to lower the amount our patients have to pay to afford this life-changing treatment.

What happens if my insurance is not listed above?

Insurance payers not working with ketamine clinics is unfortunately the current norm in the United States. If you are a cash pay patient,  we at Avesta have worked hard to revamp our superbills that we give to patients, with positive reports of patient reimbursement. Please also consider additional financing resources below.

Avesta also has the help of a dedicated insurance specialist team who has been billing for ketamine infusions for years. The team’s sole focus is to represent you and get as much back from payers as possible on your behalf.
